“The fact that we can measure emotions and influence them, still fascinates me”
Roderick and Max started Braingineers in an attic, 5 years ago. They are one of the first B. members, situated in B.1. What do they do? They get into the consumer’s brain and measure their emotions for better online experience.
Roderick: “Max and I started Braingineers literally in an attic. Now, 5 years later we are located at B. Amsterdam with a great team and expanding our business abroad with a satellite office in London. The fact that we can measure emotions and influence them, still fascinates me.”
How does that brain-peeking work?
“We invite all different kinds of people in our research lab at B. Amsterdam to interact with e.g. an app like they would normally do. During these individual sessions we measure the brain activity with an EEG headset and track the participants’ eye movements. With this science-based method we gather valuable insights, such as which elements on a website, app or TV commercial, induce frustration, enjoyment or requires attention.”
