Redesigning the future of cities
Due to the rising urbanization all over the world existing urban landscapes are starting to merge into a single agglomerated “world city”. Therefore, many existing urban systems are intertwining. How do we ensure a single, efficient city system? And how do we deal with a growing population in our current city landscapes? The principal solution to this challenge is to start changing our linear city systems into circular ecosystems. This challenge is becoming more important and new innovative companies are working to turn this circular ecosystem into a realistic alternative. We believe that we can stimulate these initiatives by providing a Smart City Hub where we bring passion, talent, knowledge and bright ideas together!
This Smart City Hub will be located at B. hallen, the halls adjacent to the current B.1 building. In these halls, which formerly housed Post NL, we will bring together companies that are engaged in rethinking ways to deal waste, water, energy, last mile logistics, food, green, mobility and storage.
For the development of this 24,000m2 Smart City Hub we aim to work together with the leaders in the field by encouraging interaction and cooperation through educational programs and informative and social events at B. We are also hoping to stimulate international expansion and want to create the base of a knowledge sharing platform.
As a partnership between B. Amsterdam and MOSS (Makers of Sustainable Spaces), we would like to invite you to participate in this partnership as well. Together we can work towards a future smart city that is more circulair, sustainable and green.
